Story-telling should be fun, an adventure that begins the moment you open a book.
"But which one shall I read," you ask the child, only to be bombarded with a multiple choice of titles... or characters that appear along the way.
The one with the pig, they suggest or perhaps the one with the hen that laid a square egg. They may even ask for... now let me think... which one would you choose?
I love all eight, but then as the author, I would, wouldn't I?
You can either buy the printed version, one that I rather prefer or, for the child that is savvy and likes to look swish, there is the Kindle version that you can also download to your iPad or laptop.
Just go to your local Amazon distributor, type "Hamilton-Fford" into the search bar and.... there they are. Amazing!
The books are also available from several mainstream bookstores online, or you may even grab one when you're out shopping.
The graphics are stunning, as is the color and each of the stories are wonderfully illustrated by Jon... that's me by the way.
So, if you feel a yawn trying to break out, or you just fancy a read, then grab your favorite book, head for the couch, curl up under your favorite blanket and then read to your child. But don't hog all the blanky, let your little one have some too.
